Along with the angel that I have in my 55G, I also have a pair in a 29G, I bought them all at the same time. The female has stayed relatively small compared to the male(s). Living with them is an albino bristle nose pleco.
If the female looks beat up its because for about a week before they spawn they beat the crap out of each other, she actually is looking better than she has been the last couple of days. Also if you look carefully you can see she is fat from eggs, and if you look very closely you can make out her breeding tube. Sorry that the male was taking a crap while I was taking the photo's, lol, I waited and waited but he was clearly not going to be done anytime soon!! haha.
The pictures are not the greatest, but I need to give their tank a good clean (I just moved them out of the basement last week, and need to rescape the tank some).
