I've posted before warning others that they are escape artists, so I feel pretty dumb for letting one of mine wander off. I searched my house twice, including out in the garage in case one of the dogs got ahold of her, but it's as if she's just dissapeared.

I think she may have decided to go looking for another mate, because my male was more interested in what's for dinner that in making babies. I walked in on them last weekend and he immediately dropped her when he saw me and came over to the glass to beg.

lmao, wow.

Anyway, I hope you find your crayfish. Check the "dust-bunnies", I often overlook my escapees at first because they've gathered dust-bunny camouflage and they freeze at movement. It's always on the second or third time around that I'm like "wait, did that dust pile move...?". Good luck, hope you find her!

I hope you find her and all but what you said is funny :perv::lol:

once my crayfish crawled out and only made it about ten feet across the carpet. he was hiding under my tv. all dried up. there good at escapiing.

I found her! She was in my HOB filter and she DID NOT want to come out. My male wisely hid in a cave while the 2 females sorted things out.

She must be a contortionist as well as an escape artist. She must have climbed up the outflow and into the filter box, but the top of the filter wasn't even disturbed.

good find. i would have thought he was a gonner. i just got a free 20 gallon high. i was just cleaning it out and found a dead fish in the intake tube of the hob. he was probly wondering where his fish went lol
