Plants in plastic pots. Should I remove them?

I purchased two live plants to put in my 10 gallon aquarium about two weeks ago. They came in little pots that are kind of like little nets and I was wondering if I should remove them and put them in the gravel. Also, I don't have a CO2 system or fertilizer but I do have many fish in my aquarium so should I get a CO2 system, fertilizer, or both? Thanks!

10 gallon has:
-1 male betta
-3 adult male fancy guppies
-3 baby female fancy guppies
-4 long-finned blue danios
-2 oto-cats (pair)
-1 apple snail

Agree with Mg. Those pots are geared more for hydroponics than aquariums. Your plant roots will most likely decay if you don't remove them.
