According to the Federal Noxious Weed Act, Title 7, Chapter 61, section 2803, federal noxious weeds may not be imported into or through the United States, unless in accordance with conditions allowed by the USDAAPHIS. The sale, purchase, exchange, or receipt of federal noxious weeds is illegal.

Anything that makes the Fed List must be a huge problem for them to bother adding it.
 
H. Polysperma is a fast growing noxious weed. It is illegal for sale or trade in the US. It sure is a nice plant though. I like the red/green mix it displays. Sure wish it wasn't banned.
 
So how come I have some? And I couldn't just "accidentally" put some in with another plant if I were to send another plant? The stuff grows like crazy and I do usually just throw the cuttings away unless of course.....
