Hi, many peppered catfish seam are producing eggs, but there are sterile?
in the mornings there are 6 or 7 eggs, so i carefully remove them and place them in a hatchery cage, but after a few days they seam to go cloudy and mouldy, there are 4 peppered cats in my tank. thanks for your time people

I would guess you either do not have a male or he is not doing his job.

How old are they? They may just be practicing. Check make sure you have a female and male combination at least 1 of each. My peppers are young and lay about 30-40 each time. I expect when they are older to get near a 100. How do you remove them finger or razor blade. I hate the razor blade. I roll them with my finger and put them on a slate and put them in a hatching tank. They are hard pretty fast after laying. Hope this helps.

brilliant advice, have four corys, two are 'bigger' built then the other, i believe these to be the females?, not sure on their age, but their not fully grown, there about 1.5 inchs. i try the razor and this ok, but the eggs are still sterile. thanks for your time, brill.

sounds like immaturity. my peppered females are over 2" and when they spawn there are huge numbers of eggs (granted if i dont take them out right away, they get eaten). them turning cloudy and moldy most likely means that they are infertile
