they wont eat the algae off the walls, nerite snails will. but theres a problem if you have algae covered walls anyway and buying snails isnt the answer.
what size tank and lighting? is the light on all day?
i would post questions about the algae in the forum are to resolve the algae problem before i buy anything

i knew this was going to happen.... not to go aganist ypou or anyone else it has always worked for me i ran into this problem because my baby Procambarus Allenii has crushed my population of them and i needed a new suplly of them to breed them out

Rams and MTS will work from my own experience they cleaned a tank of BBA and some other types, but it took quite some time. 15 Nerites on the other hand cleaned a 62 in a matter of days that had the same problem and I use 3 in a 75 gallon to keep it clean.

Sorry I don't have any rams or MTS to spare since all mine are food for the assassin snails.:evil_lol: I would still look for the root cause though and elimate that even with the addition of snails. You could always look on aquabid if you can't find any here ..... good hunting.

i wish it worked for me but it never has, i had 100's of mts in a 29g and they never touched the algae and if they ate bba everyone would buy them for that lol.
i have some mts and few ramshorns i can send you for 6.00 shipping cost.
probably about 20+ mts and 5+ ramshorns. people raok them all the time, i kill the ramshorns every chance i get so i dont have many right now.

your link doesent work . and fine, if you want to have a snail only' tank, You can feed them algea, HOW is this helping where your fish are concerned, YOu cant starve your fish, while your snails eat algea LOL ~ its common sense, ~ fish need to eat, and snails & bottom feeders eat thier leftovers. if you have algea, please find your sorce of algea.......THEN get you some algea eaters. IF you only want crayfish food, thier are plenty here that will roak thier unwanted mts & ramshorn snails .

Let me look my tanks over I might be able to give up 50 mts if that would work. I need to sift the gravel on the 75 and see how many are buried in there.
