I purchased a small 4inch Green Terror yesterday....and I have him in a 10g for now!.....I tried placing him in my 80g tank but my Jaguar and male convicts keep terrorizing him...is it ok that i leave him in the 10g tank just till saturday???? I setup my 55g today but i must let it cycle...he wont get stunted or mess his back up?? the ten gallon is like 18inches give or take and 12 inches wide

Bang a load of filter media from your 80 into the filter on the new 55, move the fish to it, job's a good 'un.

If you move some of the filter media from your 80 to the 55 filter, you will have what we call an instant cycle and moving the green terror into it immediately will be fine. If you want to leave the GT in the 10 until Saturday, you can. It will not stunt that fast, but I would do daily water changes if you do. The bioload of the GT will quickly affect the water quality of a tank that small.

You will be fine with the green terror in the 10 gallon till saturday. I would feed him only once daily, and do daily 50% water changes until you get your 55 gallon cycled. Did you seed it with old filter media?

Letting the tank run over night is not cycling it. You need an ammonia source and Oxygen. Placing established media in the filter and putting the GT in the 55g will be all you need to do. To answer your question it will be fine in the 10g till Saturday.
