Someday maybe I will build my own tank for my beardie, but its probably not going to be this day. Any advice on how to get started on building my beardies lil home? I want to build something bigger. I have my beardie in a 50gallon and its nothing extraordinay let me tell you. I've seen some peoples' custom work and wow. I've also been to a few sites that give step by step instructions, but since that is just not my thing I can't make sense of it. Any good sites that have like tips or something for super beginners like me in the world of carpentry and hammer-holding and such?

Also, I've been using reptisun 10.0 tubes so far but I want to change just because I love change. My friend said r-zilla made new bulbs for beardies and that thy aren't bad at all. So I'm thinking of buying some of those for my new viv, or trying out some mercury vapor bulbs (which I know are mega popular right now). But I don't think I have enough money for those. What do you think? Opinions greatly appreciated!e

You can have fun designing and building your own enclosures. Some of the best setups I've seen were made from items picked up at a yard sale or along a curb. I've seen people remove all the drawers to a dresser are replace the front with plexi glass to make a large vertical setup for their lizards. I have a friend who made a whole series of setups from a large display case that Bon-Ton threw out. And then of course you can build a large setup from scratch. All and all it’s usually much cheaper to make your own setup as opposed to buying one. Of course it also depends on how creative and handy you are!
