I was wondering if anyone knows if vinyl is safe to use in a marine aquarium. I was going to use a vinyl place mat as part of a ATS but wanted to make sure it was safe first. Thanks in advance.

Depends upon what else is with it. Some will leach certain compounds, like lead, pthalates, etc., whereas others may be perfectly safe. Difficult to say, and if there is any doubt, I would avoid it.
