I'm wondering if plants are affected by how strong the current of a tank is. I have an emperor 400 on a 20 gallon tank (i got them together used). I also have various plants like hygro, wisteria, watersprite, rotala and dwarf sags. The current in the tank is pretty strong and my fish love it, but I'm not sure about my plants. Any thoughts?

some plants like it and some dont. typically the thinner and weaker a stem is the worse it will do in current.

If you change the flow rate in your planted tank you will find some species do better than others. I adjust the rate and direction every few weeks looking for that sweet spot where every thing comes together.
