MSN switched everything over to their "Live" format, and I can log in to my account, but can't get to my hotmail. It tells me to log in with a "live" id, but the site is down, and it wouldn't access my normal email account anyway! I am SOOOOO frustrated. I've had that email since 1999, and have tons of stuff saved in the account. Is it gone for good? Can anyone help me figure this out?

I got an instant message the other day that said we had to update blah blah blah and at first it would not let me log in but I just closed my browser opened it again went back to hotmail, through the actual bar, and voila it worked.

yeah, provided you have your username and password, you'll eventually get back in ...
As suggested, try Gmail out. Works great... Only complaint with gmail is the fact that they don't have folders, but hey... what do you wanna do!
Good luck !

I use Gmail too. I have for years and I love it. They do have "folders" but it took me awhile to figure out that they did. They call them "Labels" and you can set filters on your emails to send emails that fit certain criteria directly into those labels, skipping the inbox. Also, under Labs, there is an application called "multiple inboxes" which you can set to show the emails you have labled, on the main screen along with your normal inbox. I do this with all my AC emails.
I'll see if I can get a screen shot.

Thanks for the help everyone. I'm back in, but all my folders have disappeared. Hopefully they will return soon.....
