So I'm looking at these lights, it's 140$ for 216 watts with LED moonlights. Sounds like a great deal to me... is it? Anybody have them?
It comes with white, blue or a combination of bulbs, what is the difference? Also the options on the white lights are 14 and 20k, I thought 6700 was the prefered wavelength for plant growth, or are the blue bulbs for that? Would I need to replace them?
If I do buy these, I'd be putting them over a 55 in a custom hood. How high above the water should they be, and do I need a glass top underneath them if it's under a mostly sealed hood?
I'm pretty much a noob to lights and planted tanks, but I've done a bit of reading... I'd appreciate any pointers or good sources of info if you'd rather just point me in the right direction rather than typing a whole bunch. Thanks!
