I got the most beautiful guppies today!

I purchased some plants from a seller on another forum. He said he's throw in some guppies as a RAOK if I paid the shipping. Well I not only got some awesome plants but I got 12 guppies! A mix of males and females and they are just beautiful! I had to share :lipssealedsmilie:

Made it all the way from FL, took 4 days in the mail and not one loss. I am very impressed with the guppies and the way the seller packed everything.

Well 2 males are red, black, silver and blueish. Really striking. Obviously the females are rather drab. There are also a couple males that have black bodies and fancy yellow tails. I have no idea what sp. they are and I've literally filled my phone w/pix and none are good enough to post. Erm maybe I can get a good pic on Monday because these are my "office fish" I have no room at home for anymore tanks plus my DH told me I could move out if I brought anymore "fish" home....he said nothing about inverts :rofl:


Edit: they remind me of these http://www.aquariumfishparadise.com.au/images/Male-Guppy-Red.jpg but the top fin is long and blue/silver body is blue/black and fancy red tails.

I got these over at the planted tank forum I think a lot of members here are members there as well...or so I have noticed. I was the guys "shipping guinea pig". It was well worth the extra $$ for shipping these guys would sell for at least $2-3 in the LFS. I love these guys they really brought some color to my drab pink/gray cubicle.

I promise if I can get a halfway decent shot I will update...probably Monday when I have access to a better camera. My phone is prehistoric...

I borrowed his pix because I still can't get 1 decent picture. You can see the mixed colorations on the males very pretty. I have a red/blue/silver one that is just adorable.
If anyone is intersted his nic is amp over on TPT he is selling them now for very reasonable prices. :thm:

Oh I didn't know reefscape has some for sale. Maybe I should PM him and see if he can hook me up. :D I am sure at some point I will need to add "fresh dna" to the mix. It looks to me as if I already have a prego F. It was a relief to come in to work and still see them all swimming about. I added a couple ramshorns w/them this morning because one of my crayfish has decided that they make great snacks :eek3: hopefully the guppies leave them alone. They seem to be at least.
