Nintendo DS I Experiences

Anyone else have it? For those thinking of getting it the major differences from the regular DS and DS Lite is:

Con:
- Does not support/play SP Games or Old School Gameboy Games
- Price of $180 including tax when I bought it from a Best Buy
- Need to buy the SD disc, though you can already store about 430 pix, and about 20+ sound bits.

Pro:
- Has a camera, very decent in my opinion and has some manipulation options: distortion/mirror/resemblance(matching % how 2 people look alike), merging multiple faces, etc. Camera inside of the screen and can take pictures with the outside camera.
- Had a SD disc compartment in which you can transport music and pictures to play on your DS I
- New DS I store in which like the WII points you can buy points to get games downloaded through your internet connection ( I believe buy a DS I before Oct 2009 and get free 1,000 points)
- Nintendo Browser used to be in game form before DS I, but now you can download it for FREE through the Nintendos Online Store.
- New sound option to record sound bits, along with a sound manipulator which you can use with your songs in your SD disc.
- Pictochat is the same.
- Like the WII, I haven't really counted how many free slots but it seems about 20+ things you can download.

Looks:
- The feel is not like the DS, it has a bit of a paper scratchy feel than the plastic feel of the DS.
- The size is about a centimeter more.
- Sound is now buttons to press +/-
- Power button is now in the inside flaps
- Black and Blue color available so far

Anyone else with their experience can chime in :).

Agreed I miss playing my Tetris from the old gameboy on the DS I. And there goes all my SP Pokemon games -_____-.

Also don't quote me on this but I think if you trade in a DS Lite you could get $50-70.... I didn't do this but I did see Game Stop posters in the window advertising trade ins.

Another Con:

Converting music into compatible AAC audio files
Music files that you want to play on your Nintendo DSi may or may not be copy protected. Music files that are copy protected can not be converted to compatible AAC files for play on the Nintendo DSi. Music files that are not copy protected can be converted to different formats using commercially available music file converters. Nintendo does not provide a process to convert music files. We don’t have any specific recommendations for which program to use; however, many are available to download from the Internet. Some websites will charge you for the download, while others may be free. When researching which converter you might want to use, you will want to make sure the converter works with the file format you are currently using as well as the AAC format. For example, if your songs are currently in .mp3 format, you will want to find a program that can convert MP3 files to AAC.

better then them using their own kind of memory. you can pick up a 4gb for less then $10.

i dont even see why they did this. they should have made the one on the out side at least 1-2mp

Without and SD disc the DS i can hold about 440 pictures in storage and my 128 MB can do 1,400 :S.

Another huge CON, for those Guitar Hero loves for the DS. The slot where you stick in the GH Gear is gone, so you cannot play Guitar Hero anymore.
