Ok.. I have a friend who has overstocked a tank to no end... so I told him I would rescue him by taking the two goldfish and the angel off his hands...

I have the goldfish taken care of in their own tank.. but the angel.. hmmm

the two options I have for the angel are as follows... will either of them work and which is best? maybe a dumb question but I have NEVER owned an angel before an dunno much about them

OPTION 1- 55g stocked with Yellow labs, Kenyi Juvies, Acies, Albino Zebras, Plecos, and Rosey Barbs (yes they are fine lol)

OPTION 2- 55g community planted- guppies, platies, mollies, glofish, 1 pleco, Mystery Snails, 1 Female betta, guppy fry (in breeder box), 1 tiger barb (hasnt been a problem yet so I havent moved him... yet lol)

OPTION 3- 10g by itself (im sure he will get too big but I just thought I would add that option.. because technically its there lol)

are the cichlids too agressive for the angel?
is the angel too agressive for the livebearers?

HELP!! I get him tomorrow

I don't know anything about angels, but I think the 55g community is your best bet. He might eat whatever fits into his mouth... I honestly don't know. Maybe just the fry if there are any swimming about. I think a lot of people here keep angels in large community setups.

I'm not sure, I've read that you shouldn't keep them in less than a 29, that they are often victims of fin-nippers, and they will eat whatever fits in their mouths. Wanted you to at least get some feedback... lol... I've been looking at getting some angels, but have no experience with them yet... and I've never kept chiclids or livebearers, so I'm not much help...

the danios (glo fish) and the lone tiger barb will probably be the only potential nippers. The livebearers might be silly but not nippy. I don't know your female betta... if she's a crazy lady like all of mine, the angel would be toast, but since she already lives in a community, she probably won't bother it.

my beta is extremely timid... she was a wal-mart rescue that was living in a moldy vase with a dead plant-- she had ich all over her

I complained to the manager and informed him that I was taking the beta home free of charge lol-- he agreed and I rescued the beta

was able to save her life-- she is thriving now.. but has never shown any signs of aggression-- not even against my fry

My tiger barb is also surprisingly timid... maybe due to the fact that he is alone (also a walmart rescue with ich lol)

i'd go with the 55 community and be ready to put the angel in it's own 10 if things might now work.

The 55 is your best bet, but if you have issues leave the angel there and put the problem children in the 10 gal.
