Maybe everyone on here already knew this but it was news to me. I have found that my rcs seem to like eating my crushed pest snails.

That's great! An almost endless supply of fresh food for them.

Haha, shrimp are scavengers, they'll eat almost anything that's dead. Or that falls to the bottom of the tank.

I never really thought of feeding them crushed snails though!
Interesting.

I assume you're crushing them and letting them fall then? Not a bad idea, I might try this. I usually bait and remove but why not let them feed them tank :D ;)

Poor little crushed snails. They ask nothing but to exist!

I know how you feel. I hesitated to squish the little critters at first but I didn't know what else to do with them. They were taking over my tank. They were everywhere and just kept coming! My first thought was to trap them but what was I to do with them then. I don't think they would survive in the wild. Also, I noticed on this forum that there are several others that rid themselves of pest snails by crushing them so I know I'm not alone. I'm just pleased to know that their deaths are beneficial to my red cherry shrimp.
