Anchoring silk plants?

they dont have those lil 'anchor buckets'?
if not...i just shove it as deep and as far into the substrate as possible....if it can bend on the bottom ill make the bottom an L shape so it has more to anchor with....if all else fails....fishing weights...

You can't use lead fishing weights in an aquarium, can you? Won't the lead poison the fish?

I would just grab a slate tile, make an L shape and silicone it. Instant weight that's cheap and won't come off. I don't think the lead weight is a good idea. Could leach into the water over time and make things a little nasty.

hot glue and a rock

I can add from experience that hot glue loosens after a day or so under the water so i use to hot glue them and then peel the glued plant off the rock and use that glued surface and add silicone to it, although that link for the bottle was a great idea and makes it look cleaner than using rocks, now I have to take all my plants out and use that idea to rescape my tank!

i took a peice of plastic and drilled a hole just big enuff for the base of the plant put it in thru the hole then melted that end and flatened it, and it molds it to the peice of plastic
