My Magnum 350 isnt working!!

Hey All,

Before I did my normal weekly water change I unplugged my magnum 350 then proceeded to do my water change then plugged the filter back in and its not priming/nor is it working. Any suggestions on how I can get it to prime again.

Is it making any noise or is it not turning on? If it is powering on, the first thing I would do is pull out the impeller and clean it off.
 
Its making noise. I cant get it to prime? its suppose to be self priming? I silde the knob from on to off thinking that will get it to prime, but nothing. I emptied some of the water out of the canister and followed the steps when i turned it on the first time before and still, nothing.
 
reguardless what the directions say ............always fill canister all the way and when running tip it one way then the other to get air out it goes thru tubes into tank,..

also check to see that you replaced the impeller, i forgot it a few times,..lol

also slide the on/off switch a few times some times the switch dosent click all the way,..
thoses are the only things i've had go wrong for a few years of owning over 5 of them at one time,..
 
I hate to admit to doing this but after cleaning mine it wouldn't work. After several attempts at getting it to work I finally realized that I had forgotten to turn the cutoff back on. Worked fine afterward.
