All of my crypts appear to be melting

I just looked in my tank and it appears that all of my crypts are melting, despite them recently growing really well. The tank was moved about 8 weeks ago, but they had been growing fine after the move.

As far as I know water parameters have stayed the same, the only thing I know of that has changed is I increased my temperature from 78F to 82F, would that cause them all to melt off like this? If it is the temperature is the culprit, then would the crypts eventually stabilize and grow again?

I am also likely to be changing substrate again soon, so want them to be in good shape when I make the change.

Thanks.

Crypts melt real easy when anything changes. If the roots are in good shape, they'll just grow back. Will happen again, possibly, when you disturb them again to change the substrate.

I agree with Kashta crypts melt very easily with even the slightest changes in my experience, so raising the temp could have definitely contributed to it. Changing the substrate will surely guarantee it will happen again the good news is they always seem to adapt.

Good luck.
