Of Course

:) Hello all
Not sure I am doing this right so apologies if I am in the wrong spot. Not quite what you would call computer literate just yet. Anyways just wanted to say Hi to everyone and introduce myself.
I am the fortunate owner of a 200+ gallon reef tank with a deep sand bed and sump. I have a separate refugium which I have not plumbed in yet. Still weighing up the pros and cons of getting a new sump which incorporates the refugium. I have about 10 corals and only 3 fish plus inverts. I am still building up my fish population. I am fortunate in having a lovely emperor fish which to date, and fingers crossed, does not touch my corals. My other fish is a Red Sea sailfin tang (cant spell the desjardeneii name off the top of my head) and of course an oscellaris clown.
Until recently I was the very fortunate owner of a Moorish Idol. Yes I know what you're saying.....why did I even try one? Well I do feel a little guilty about it and it will certainly be my last one even though they are simply irresistable. Well I had him for about 12 months. Yes, I must be one of the lucky few. He ate everything with gusto. Sadly, however, he came to grief on a powerhead that sucked onto him late one night. Who would believe it? Needless to say I was very upset. Still I was lucky to have had him as long as I did.
Lets see.......what else? Oh yes, I do run a quarantine tank. I have a Coral Beauty in it at the moment and it is almost ready to be released into my display. Looking forward to it immensely.
I am about to start using Chemi-pure elite for the first time. I figure I will use this instead of carbon. I have been researching it a bit and it seems to have some good qualities to it. All my water parameters are excellent except for a touch of Phosphate so hopefully this will return it to zero levels.
Well I guess thats me :)
I just know I will have plenty of questions for the forums as we go along but hopefully if I can help anyone else out there then please don't hesitate to ask or show me how. Oh! By the way.....i come from a land downunder and unfortunately there is no local fish store owner I can trust so have to rely on most of my research from online etc. So hopefully, I wont bore you with my rantings.
Okay....thanks for your welcome and hopefully will see you soon.
Cheers!!!:thm:
