Hello guys.

I just need some information if possible. I know there is alot of other info in the other threads, and have read most of it.

My questions are.

1. What kind of saltwater fish would be most comfortable in a 10 gallon aquarium?

2. Is a 15 watt fluorescent light powerful enough for corals/anemones. (If so what kinds)

3. If you have a protein skimmer do you still need a basic filter?

I would greatly appreciate any answers or opinions. I currently have a 10 gal. set up with : crushed coral, sand, a powerhead, heater, and a filter. (No Skimmer or live rock yet.)

Thanks guys.
Shadoe;)

The only fish that will really do well in that tank is either some Clown Gobies, or a Firefish, or a Clown (I would only do 2 Clowns max or 1 Firefish or 1 Clown). As to the lighting the 15 watt produces a little more than 1 watt per gallon and corals and especially anemones need 3-4 watts per gallon. Power Compacts will achieve this but they will be expensive. You could do mushroom corals with the light you have now. 3. I would say no it is not required as long as you have a live sand bed, and quite a bit of live rock. But imo, it is always best to have one just incase. I like to use the Penguins, so you could do a Penguin Mini just as a back up. Anyway, hope this helps and good luck.
