search for mylar. they have mylar blankets for like $2.50 or something. great reflectivity.

White paint is likely your easiest bet and quite effective.
Hardware stores also carry foil tape. It's a thick piece of foil with an adhesive backing. It is stronger than mylar.

high gloss white spraypaint (aka krylon)
you could also remove the top and bottom of several soda cans, then cut them in half, then tape/glue/screw/nail/whatever them all together sand inside with super fine sandpaper to get a reflective surface....i think this is going to be my next DIY project...soda can hood.

Not advisable to make a reflector as you would increase the amount of restrike and end up with less useful light. The painting of the area in white as has been suggested is the best option.
