My 7 beautiful new babies arrived today! I love them-they're so cute. So far all but 2 have come out and begun investigating. There's one I'm worried about because it didn't have any water in it's bag. It drained. But there was one other like that and is fine so I'm hopeful.
2 jade, 2 blue, 1 dark striped purple, 1 light striped purple(at this moment it's circling a plant in the tank, all casually) and a wild colored one that's more chocolate color.

The one whose bag was drained, may still have a surviving chance. Heck, I'll relate to you I forgot a blue mystery snail in my package and I found her wrapped in a dried paper towel five weeks later to my horror. She survived the ordeal and still is alive until now.:)

That sounds like a betta I found dried on the floor. One swish in the water and he was ok again.
I'm going to check on it in a little bit. I'm glad your snail was ok! That would've had me panicking!

Just checked on it...........It's fine! Just moving along the gravel just like the others. I think that one jade wants to make a jail break. I had just put them in the water and it crawled up the side of the tank. all the others are staying near the bottom. :)
Hmmm........Now I AM a snail addict!

how big do these have to breed? they're about marble size but One was stuck on the side of another one-I ddn't think they were old enough yet!
This is going to sound funny but remember I'm new at this! I just saw one of my blues' cute little red eyes!
They tend to be sexually matured by an inch and over at over 3 months of age but this depends on how you grow your snails.

some have tubes coming off their bodies-not the tentacles or their mouthparts. Are these male or female?
Wow. Then I guess they're big enough.
They definitely are addictive. I want every color! lol

The snails don't want to cooperate! lol There are 2 that I'm pretty sure are girls but the others I don't know. Even when I try and look when they're underwater.
Do they come out of the water for any reason other than to lay eggs?I got the impression they don't.

Mine do come out to lounge above the waterline. This is why my tanks have lids. I caught one trying to come out and almost dropped the tank.

oh,ok.hasn't happened to me yet, one of them had it's rear end out of the water though. one of them saw me and clamped it's trapdoor shut instantly. I must be scary! lol
