I'm a newbie here on AC who's looking forward to joining the discussions and posts with you all. I have a 55 gallon freshwater community aquarium which I just set up around 4 months ago. I finally dragged it out of the basement since my kids are older and I can spend the proper time needed to maintain it. Around 10 yrs ago I had it set up as a marine aquarium with a Niger Trigger, Luna Wrasse, Yellow and Powder Blue Tangs, Flame Angel and Copperbanded Butterfly. My Niger was the best! So tame it'd come right up to the surface and nibble at my finger. Miss the guy. Anyways, I set the 55 up as a FW tank because so much has changed that I want to get my feet wet again before I start marine again. My 12 yr old son took over my 29 gallon with a few cichlids and a blue lobster. He's hooked! So now the family has 2 fish fanatics.
