I think i have found a free 90 gallon aquarium for free. It is 48" long by 24" thick and 18" deep. I am thinking of only filling it partially and using 3" of substrate (all for plant reasons). This will leave a heavily planted section that is about 12" deep. This makes it about 50 to 60 gallons. I like gentle friendly fish. I also like schooling behaviour so I am wondering what choices I have.
I will certainly get a school of Sterbii corys and lots of Amano shrimp. All of my fish are very small, the largest are Lemon Tetras so I am thinking of something larger. I have been thinking of 6 boesemani rainbow fish but I don't really know anything about them except I can get them locally and they are pretty and within my small budget. I am a little overstocked with Lemon tetras and they continue to breed so I also would like to move a school to the new aquarium.
What other fish can I think about? Remember that the tank will be overrun in plants.
Here is a picture of my 29 gallon before it was as overgrown as it is now.
