Hello All,

I would like to know how some of you with larger tanks maintain a source of RO or DI water. I have 250g and 70g tanks so I use more than 80 - 100 gallons of RO water per month including topping off and water changes. Currently, I go to my lfs but it is not convenient to fill and carry so many jugs of water every weekend. I installed an RO/DI system in my house but it cracked, leaked, flooded my house and cost my insurance company $$$$$ in repairs to the kitchen cabinets, floors, etc. I don't think I'd have much luck convincing my wife that we should try this again unless I put it outside.

Is there another way to do this? How do others get large amounts of water every month?

Thanks!

at the bottom of this page is an RO/DI that i have 2 of. they are great. I hook them up to the faucet or garden hose and make 50 gallon garbage cans full of water for water changes.

I also keep 15 1 gallon jugs of water on hand for top offs over the course of the month.

Thats about it.

Thanks Guy but I can't find the link. If you can't post it, can you send to me by email - jheidecker@aconlabs.com

If I am simply missing it, I'm sorry and would appreciate your clarification.

Thanks again!

I can't think of a more convenient or cost effective way than having an RO/DI unit in (or around) your home. Sounds like you just had some bad luck with your old one.
