Hi, I had two Tiger Oscars in 90 gal tank. 4days ago both fish died.I have two canister Fluval 305, both had a brocken ceramic shaft within few hours of each other.Heater & air pump are working fine.
Ihad part. water change few days ago. water Ph 7.6 , Amo. 0 , No3 10 , No2 0. I don't know what killed them.
I wood like to start new tank with Angel fish only. Any advise , should I do a total water change?? Will canister filters create to much carent for Angels??? Maybee I should go with UGFilters??? How about ben. bacteria,
do I have to Colonise like it is new aquarium??
Please HELP. boban:help:

Have you tested the water? what are the params? You can use the bio filtration from you fluval filter if you aren't gonna repair them. But the bacteria needs and ammonia source to stay alive.

make sure the water parameters are stabile.
canister flow can be redirected if you suspect flow is an issue..(I use them witn no issues)
Thanks, I am planing to turn the flo down.
Thinking on ordering from Angelsplus, 4long fins Koi, 4 doble dark & 4 wild Peruvian.
Maybe few Bristlenose catfish? My thank is 90gal. with 2 Fluval 305 capacieties 100gal.each
Any segestion boban

12 angels in a 90??
btw a 90 is a great tank for angels..they will benefit from the extra height.
:eek3:
it'll work in the short run...if pairs start forming.. be ready to move angels.
personally I like the look of the peruvian angels..you could pull off 6 with lots of structure..
they look small to start..but angels live long lives and get pretty big.
That much angels on a single aquarium! this is goin to be be a fighting cage. Angels are pretty i love them but they are agressive among themselves after they form pairs... and they will grow big and if some are wild! wild can grow over 8 inches and are more agrssive still. i would opt only for the wild 5 of them and hope for the best... btw great idea angel tank love them!

are you talkin 8" sans the fins?
;)
I have Peruvian Angels that are not anywhere near full grown that are over 9" tall with the fins.
Well, I am sorry for a late repply, was out of town.
Hope to get my angels shipped tomorow. I have plased a order for:
4 Koi
4 dark marble blushing
4 unturned half back
4 silver pearl
2 albino bristlenose catfish
2 brown bristlenose catfish
Fish are all juveneil , and I hope will not be agressive to each other.Changed my
mind on Peruvians,to big.

they will be fine for a few weeks as juveniles.
I keep my tanks at 78(minimum) but prefer 80-82.
but I keep Peruvians. really not too much larger.
pH is really not a big issue as long as it is stable.
