I have 2 angels in a 48 gallon tall tank (H31" x W20" x L18"). I got them when they were quite small. One has grown to about twice the size as the other and he picks on the little one. I don't know what sex they are. I just assume the little one is a girl....don't know why. Just a feeling I get. The little one doesn't seem bothered...she just gets out of his way and carries on foraging for food. She seems to follow him around until he gets annoyed and chases her off but she always goes back for more. I noticed her fins are getting a little frayed. I really love both angels but if it's best to rehome the little one then I will. Should I wait and see what sex they are? What do you guys think? Thanks in advance. :)

Sometimes cichlids will do that to test a mate. I would keep a close eye on them and if it gets out of hand you can separate them into different tanks...or you can use some plastic eggcrate to divide the tank for a couple of weeks.

I don't have an extra tank...well, a 5 gallon QT but they wouldn't fit in there. Also, my tank is really tall and I'm not sure how I could divide it. I'll keep a close eye on them though. I wish there was a way to tell what sex they are.
