the good:
the sites purpose is clear and navigation is fairly straight-forward and intuitive. it has a lot of options in terms of clarity; the search function that is open on the homepage let's the user know that this isn't just another fish site, but is a site meant to actually organize a large amount of info. so many sites are just peppered with information that is only sometimes useful.
the bad:
while the layout is decent, your text is too dense. you need to vary your fonts (within reason) as well as varying font size (within reason) in order to create a more visually welcoming page. the tabs that come down from the "home, members, photos, etc" overlap onto your ad links which makes it easy to accidentally open one of them (good for you, sucks for me). i would suggest giving more room for these to fall and organizing your ads on one sidebar or at the bottom of the page. the bottom of the homepage works well as long as you organize your page to need minimal scrolling, thus making us look at your ads seems more organic. navigating a site with overtly placed ads makes me want to leave usually.
