I am looking for some of you to help me test my site. I got the basics working now and want to get some feedback on how easy it is to use. All comments are welcome.

Thanks, glad you like the idea. 
im not really in it for the money now. Maybe way down the road, for now I just want it to be a place to go to see some great photos that people have taken.
Right now all I ask is that it pays for itself in the next month or two.

the good:
the sites purpose is clear and navigation is fairly straight-forward and intuitive. it has a lot of options in terms of clarity; the search function that is open on the homepage let's the user know that this isn't just another fish site, but is a site meant to actually organize a large amount of info. so many sites are just peppered with information that is only sometimes useful.
the bad:
while the layout is decent, your text is too dense. you need to vary your fonts (within reason) as well as varying font size (within reason) in order to create a more visually welcoming page. the tabs that come down from the "home,members, photos, etc" overlap onto your ad links which makes it easy to accidentally open one of them (good for you, sucks for me). i would suggest giving more room for these to fall and organizing your ads on one sidebar or at the bottom of the page. the bottom of the homepage works well as long as you organize your page to need minimal scrolling, thus making us look at your ads seems more organic. navigating a site with overtly placed ads makes me want to leave usually.

how do the pages look now? Because that is probably how they will stay, other than a few minor changes
When you submit a photo to the database you will receive an email when that photo has been accepted or rejected.
Most likely your photos will be accepted unless they are way blurry or just don't belong on the site. Once more photos are coming in per day we will start to raise the requirements for images.
Needless to say we would love to see the best pictures possible from the beginning, so if you have some photos please add them. The rights to your photos will always belong to you.

I really like the idea for a centralized point of aquarium photos instead of having to find random shots off of the internet.
