I was rearranging some rock work to make room for some new live rock and when I moved one of the larger pieces I have in my tank a strange little creature came shooting out ...
it was pinkish in color and looked kinda like a centipede. It came out of a crevice in the rock and burrowed down into the sand. It was about an inch or so long and thin, about half the width of a pencil.
Has anyone else seen one of these things? If so, what is it and can it hurt my fish?
I have heard about strange looking things coming into tanks via Live Rock but until now never had anything like this hitch a ride. Usually I just wind up with some small feather dusters (which get eatten) or some algea stuff. Once I even found a little crab but nothing like this centipede thingy.
