I keep going back and forth between all these fish. They are all so beautiful. I have a 29 gallon tank with 5 cherry barbs. I'm looking for a peaceful community tank. And no fry. So hopefully these aren't hardy breeders.
So...concerns are, are they compatible? Are the schools the right number? Is this too many fish for my tank? Do tank parameters work for all these fish? I keep my tank at 76 degrees with a pH about 7.2.
In addition to the cherry barbs, I'm thinking:
5 cardinal tetras - or 3 cardinals and 3 phantom tetras (I read that phatoms will school with any tetras - true?)
5 glowlight tetras
5 sunset fire platies
3 julii cory catfish
5 glass fish
Also on my list, if one of the top do not fit, are red velvet swordtails.
What do you think? I'm open to suggestions.
