Need help with old aquarium

I have a 60 gallon aquarium that has went unused for about a year now, and am thinking that it's time to put some tropical freshwater fish in it. It was last used to overwinter the goldfish/koi that we had in the pond (at least until the raccoons figured out how to get them).

What is the best way to clean everything in the aquarium?

I use warm water and a bleach solution. Then multiple rinses adding dechlor each time.

If you do use bleach be sure to wash everything really really well.

a box of salt and a sponge a little elbow grease rinse it out well and you dont have to worry about the bleach residue
