I found it on my new plants... I dont know much about snails

what is it?

I have no idea... LOL. But I want to say wow, I never find anything but crappy old ponds and ramshorns, lol, LUCKY.

BTW, do you know what that plant is called? I just bought some the other day, but the store has NO IDEA what the plants are...

By the length and size of the plant I would say a jungle Val I have some pushing 5' in length.

As far as the snail goes it looks like a Tiara Snail or a Tarebia granifera (Quilted melania) without a good close up hard to pin down totally.
 
plant is jungle val-- got it at my local LFS


so are these snails harmful?

I googled it, and it does look similar to that-- but seems to be a bit shorter

maybe because its a baby?
