Any other plant geeks on this forum that blow a ton of money on rare plants?
Trim time for the other half of my high-tech tank.
Lots of cool stem plants available.
Rotala Mexicana 'Green' - $5 ea stem
This one is often mistaken as Pogostemon Erectus but... it's not. I have grown Erectus before and they have their subtle differences. Check our AaronT's old sales thread to see another image of Mexicana 'Green'.
I find that Mexicana 'Green' has slightly thicker leaves than Erectus. The overall look of the plant when they are awake looks different too in my experience. Or maybe I'm a noob and I grew it differently? Check out the picture

Here are some better pictures! http://www.aquaticplantcentral.com/forumapc/new-plants-planted-aquariums/58206-rotala-mexicana.html These pictures are NOT taken by me and I am thankful that this person takes great shots to show what they look like!
Rotala sp. 'Orange' aka 'Araguaia' - $5 ea stem
A small stem plant and a very freaking beautiful one at that! It can grow as tall as you want but I find that keeping the bottoms from going bad is hard. Mine are about 15+ inches tall and the leaves at the very bottom just started to turn yellow and fall off. Hence why I'm doing the trim now. I have them clumped up together, so the shade is probably why the bottom parts are dying. This plant is definitely not an easy plant! But if you can grow it, its beauty is quite rewarding. With not enough light, it will first turn green and soon turn very ratty looking. However, with the right light, it'll glow an orange color. It can even obtain a maroonish color and/or a red with a hint of orange/purple to it. Very, VERY, nice plant One of my top favorites.

Staurogyne Sp. - $5 ea (approx. 1-1.5 inch stem)
This is a low growing stem plant. It's a slow grower for a stem plant, but not too slow (like java ferns/Eriocaulons). It creeps along the substrate for me and forms into quite an attractive bush if trimming properly. This is not the 'Low Grow' sp. that others may have. 'Low Grow' has thinner leaves, this one is chubby looking. I wasn't a big fan of it at first, because when I first got it, I paid $10 for two 1 inch stems and when I placed them together, it just looked like a stunted stem plant of some sort. Now that it started to propagate by creeping around its base, I'm starting to see how nice this plant really is. If you look at the picture, you can see the two stems that I started out with. They're located in the middle of the bush and they look noticeably taller than its surrounding brothers/sisters.

Eichhornia Diversifolia - $1 ea
Okay, so this one isn't exactly THAT rare but it's a nice plant! I've seen it grown in low-light w/ co2. The crown of the plant ends up being much smaller, which in my opinion, looks quite attractive... Although the bottom parts of it does end up turning black and dying in those conditions. However, I keep mine in high light, good co2 and all that fun stuff. So the crowns are huge, which is what you'll be getting. This is an easy plant to grow in my opinion. Not much care is needed aside from trimming. I trim this plant the same way I would trim rotalas. Cut the tops and leave the bottoms.

Shipping is $6 priority mail. No heat packs or cold packs. BUYER BEWARE OF YOUR WEATHER!
