They don't seem very attractive. Any opinions on this?

I've always thought they look pretty but not practicle - except perhaps for goldfish. You really can't see the fish very well - except from above like in a koi pond. And I think all those "human legs" moving would scare my angels.

Most aquatic creatures, except maybe giant clams, seem most attractive from the side. The whole concept seems like a maintenance hassle with the added benefit that you have to lie on the floor to see your fish.

Fishtanks can not be treated like a utilitarian piece of furniture. Aquariums are a living entity. Not something to put your coffee on or to kicked often. These a silly products. Poor fishies.

forsure, I have to agree with that..
The fish should be "on display", not an afterthought, or something to bang drinks on... Ouch... :eek:

For fish I don't like it. I think it would be cool for something else though. Maybe some frogs, snakes, turtles, or hamsters in there, it would be a cool centerpiece.

no animal life at all should be condemned to a table. They could make a table with some kind of liquid lava fluid within that would be cool. Like a lava lamp/table.

If you can design a coffee table where you put your cup down on the (early '70's) "lava" area and it keeps your coffee hot.... ..you might have something there!! :D

Yup, just another novelty item some insensitive b@$tard developed to make a quick buck! Kind of like the idea I had - the little remote controlled submarine to shoot your fish with...a real life arcade game:laugh:

If you can design a coffee table where you put your cup down on the (early '70's) "lava" area and it keeps your coffee hot.... I don't think I want my coffee as hot as molten rock:eek:

The lava lamp 'area' would be a 'warm' spot to place the coffee on.. The only warm area on the table..
Yeah, lava does get pretty hot.

The table gets so hot you can cook up burgers and fish filets. It is really a grill.

I've heard of those tables referred to as fidh death traps. Just doesn't seem practical to me.
