I hooked up a DIY Co2 system on my 55G on Thursday evening, it started bubbling away yesterday, but I am a little concerned as the main reactor bottle is swollen up like a balloon.
I have a tropicana juice bottle (the big 120oz size) as the reactor, this then goes into a small (16 oz) bottle as a separator, and then from there off into the tank via a glass diffuser. I have a check valve coming from the large bottle into the small bottle, and then another check valve on the line going to the tank. It looks like I am getting about 1bps.
Should I be concerned about the swelling of the juice bottle? I am getting plenty of bubbles in the tank, so I know its not blocked, I guess its just producing Co2 faster than it can get into the tank, should I remove the check valve from the line between the 2 bottles? any other suggestions?
I don't want a yeast/sugar mess in my living room!!
thanks.
