having a bad BGA outbreak, if i use the recommended dose of erithro will i kill my biofilter?

I used 1/2 dose of Maracyn to treat my BGA last year. Was gone in 3-4 days.

my outbreak took 6 days. 1 packet per 10-15 gallons, I did not have any mini cycle after.

I have found that one or two single doses is more than enough to kill the bga. However, to avoid the potential ammonia spike from all the dead bga it is a good idea to manually syphon out as much as you can before you dose the EM. After the die off you should vac the tank and do a big wc.
I doesn't hurt to combine the antibiotic treatment with a blackout of the tank, especially with more stubborn cases.
