I bought some live rock a while back, and it came with some stray pulsating xenia and a couple different mushroom species of soft coral. They have since grown, but extremely slowly. I was just wondering if I should be adding any additives to the water. My Lighting is 384 50/50 actinic/12000k watt PC over a 125 gallon tank (~3WPG, is that enough?), I use instant ocean salt and have been using Kent Microvert occasionally.

Thanks!

Calcium had always been 350-400 and alkalinity is way high (something like 12 degrees...I use well water, i know its not advised, but no problems yet). Magnesium I do not have a test kit for.

I have two additional 1000k/actinic 96 watt fixtures that I was planning on selling... I could them put on as well, but would I see any real benefit from going from 3wpg to 4.5 wpg?

I guess a better question would be, is light my limiting factor? Or should I be adding a trace element/nutrient?
