I noticed that there are a lot of great pictures on this forum. I tried to take a few picture of my tank and find it hard to make them come out like anything i have seen on this forum.

it could be because i am using my friend's camera and i don't kno how to work it, but some advice is still appreciated.

I take 100 pictures and HOPE that I get a good one. I love digital "film"! lol

There are members that take gorgeous pics. Most benefit seems to come from the use of macro lenses or settings. Wait for the more gifted photogs to reply.

Honestly, patience, and trial and error. Not every pic I ever take turns out. Not every setting works right for certain kinds of pics. You have to be like a photographer... Have you seen them on TV, constantly clicking away? One of those pics is likely to turn out, lol.

Try different flash settings, different light angles, etc. I have learned that the settings on my camera that work best are "museum" "text" and "flower." Then I just adjust from there.
