Does anyone know where I might find some Riccia Fluitans in Canada..... online, mail order, trade, bribe or otherwise? Or possibly some glosso.
Thanks

WHAT?

There's someone else from the island on here?

Pardon me while I faint here...

Well dip my fanny in sweet cream and squat me in a kitchen full of kittens.
Another planted tank on PEI? WOW! Where have you been hiding?

It's not planted... yet... I'm hoping to begin changing that next weekend (yay for payday).

And since I'll have no sweet clue what I'm doing, it aughta be fun :)

I'd best just not say anything...

Let me know if you ever find a good plant source. That's the most challenging part of keeping a planted tank here.

Well, I haven't checked anywhere but PetsU for plants yet... only other place I know local is down on University, almost where the new Sobey's is... forget it's name, but apparantly he's really good about ordering stuff in. Hoping he can get me some shell cichlids for one of my tanks.

Yes, Rufkins. He's in the business of caring about what he sells too. I've given him a few plants before. Perhaps if we both start giving him plants, he'll get into keeping planted tanks. ;)

I order most of my equipment and ferts from Mail Order Pet Supplies http://www.mops.ca/ They are wonderful. (No plants though)

As for "how to" this forum and the internet in general is priceless. I think I would have gotten frustrated and chucked the whole thing if I couldn't come here and put out a question now and again.

I'll be watching for your posts. Good luck with the new setup.

Boos, you are indeed a treasure.......I can't help trying to visualize the scenario you refer to above......ohhhh, my..........

Too bad I didn't see your post this afternoon. I chucked a softball sized hunk of Riccia in the trash. I believe Riccia would grow for me with no light at all.
The dang thing was ticking me off because it was shading my Anubias. I like them shaded, but it was getting ridiculous.

Does anyone know where to find Riccia in Ontario? Or Java Moss for that matter.

So apparantly it's not just a PEI issue.
I'd kill for some java moss, it's one of the few plants I actually know what it is and want in the tasks.
