Thanks Jay,
You're the 1st one to reply to any of my classifieds. I might start shipping if I can't find any locals. So keep watching...you might be able to get in on the action!

Well I've shipped a lot through Aquabid (same username). I just wanted to see if there were any locals first. Chicago has a lot of fish people. My shipping prices would be a bit higher, as I guarantee live arrival (and I take all the risk). But I will definetely consider it in the near future.

Jim and Zig,
I'm on the southside of Chicago...near Midway airport. Since I'm new here...you are welcome to stop by...just to verify I have all these fish available. You don't even have to buy anything! But you will. :D Best route from Indiana is (80-94) to I-294 north to Cicero Avenue. If you're interested...PM me for address and phone number.
They don't call me Fishnut for having 2 tanks...lol!

Pinkertd,
I do have some tank-raised fry, but these are wilds that I got in for breeding stock (and our local club). The club is coming tonight to pick out thier fish, so I'll know what's left tomorrow. Some fish were misidentified. The Aspidoras were supposed to be Pygmaeus...and the Reticulatus were contaminates, that were in with the Sodalis. I also got some Schwartzi Variante IV, that came in as Agassizi...and Pulcher that came in as Puncatatus. But those last 2 will deifinetely be kept as breeders!

Just an FYI to all you ABers thinking about getting fish from Fishnut2.
I got my very first shipped in fish from him about 8 years ago and he is the person who egged me into spawning stuff. He is an experienced breeder of corys and plecos, among other things and he taught me a great deal of what I know about spawning corys.
My long fin bn breeders which have been providing lovely healthy fry to me for 6+ years came from Fn as 1+ inch fry :-)
If you want healthy fish at good prices, for sure do business with Rich, you will never be sorry you did.

Thanks TTA,
Growing out and eventually breeding fish that've been shipped...is the greatest compliment you can pay to the person that shipped them. That's what this hobby is all about. I recall some pretty awesome fish I received from you as well...when we decided to do a few trades.
I'm glad you enjoyed them!

Please note: All of the Reticulatus are gone...and there are only about 15 Sodalis left. Still fairly good amounts of Aspidora,Schwartzi, and Elegans.

WOW!!!
For my birthday I found my fish guy. Thanks TwoTankAmin for pointing me to FishNut2. I took on Rich's invitation for a 30 minute tour of his fish room. After two turns off I-55, I parked my car in a nice, safe residential neighborhood. I ended up staying for at least four hours picking, discussing different types of fish, and ways of setting up my fish room. I do believe him when he says he has 40 years of fish knowledge, and he is very kind in sharing it. No question is too 'stupid' for him, and he talks to you in a non-condescending manner. I felt like he really wants me to succeed in raising and breeding the fish I picked. Here is the list I purchased:
20 otos, 6 adolfoi cory, 10 marbled hatchet fish, colony of albino ruby, 2 brown BN, 4 albino BN, 10 aspidoras pauciradiatus, 4 whiptails, 4 banjos, assortment of guppies, and bunch of small tanks.
Planning to purchase from Rich after I set up my 125 gal. the following fish:
- 50 cardinals and 50 green neons. I always wonder why people buy 500 neon or cardinals. After seeing Rich's tanks of 1,000+ neon, cardinals, and green neon school together (healthy, eating and fully colored), it is a sight to see.
- 20 rummy nose
- 30 red belly piranhas for another tank
- breeding pair of convects
- 3 more banjos
- 6 panda cory
If you are relatively close to Midway airport, and for me I drive 5 hours annually to Wet Thumb in Michigan, Rich is definitely a person to visit for healthy, reasonably priced fish.
Thanks Rich, the fishes are acclimating well in my tanks.

Need more $$$.... Grrr....
haha Zigman, imagine how I feel. I went there took $40 with me thinking this guy proally only has cories so $40 in cash would be enough ( I usually use credit cards and do not like to carry cash around).
As soon as I entered I saw beautiful tank with electric ( I think they were electric yellow ) yellow african chichlids.. So I thought to myself, I am so getting these ( even tho they are not compatible with my tank as I later found out from Rich ( fishnut2).
He has an amazing amazing tank with cardinals ( more then few but I still fell in love with the main tank that he has ).. I wish I was rich because I would have bought all ( YES RICH ALL 2800 of the cardinals).
but more to the point guys, I felt like a kid in a candy store. I stayed there for about 1-2 hours, asked Rich questions about all the fish he had ( trust me he has ALOT). They are all hyper ( extremely active ), and seemed very healthy to me! He put food and they all ate, had no sunken bellies or no other signs of ill health.
Sorry for the essay but I feel that this guy is a great person to do business with and those ( the guys from indiana ), if you are looking for some of these fish that ( ask him for the list but he has A LOT) then definately go check it out. You will not be disappointed.
I bought 2 banjo catfish, 3 bristle nose albino plecos, 6 cories, angel fish ( hopefully next time I stop by you have more Rich.), also a smaller tank that he gave me a good deal on!
have a great one!
