When i first got my briggs they were movin around a whole bunch, and while i was acclimating them they were moving around. but since then, and for about 4-5 days now they havent really moved at all. i have done several sniff tests and they all pass (aka they dont smell horrible). They also seem to produce some weird slime type stuff a round their 'trap doors' (if that is what you call them)

someone is going to ask for water parameters, i tested a few hours ago. 0 amonia, 0 nitrite, 5 nitrate

:help:!

What are your water parameters? I think excess slime is a sign of stress.

Are there fish in the tank with them? Maybe they are being picked on.

Do you have copper pipes or heavy metals in your water, and if so, then do you use a conditioner that neutralizes them?

I have copper pipes and used prime and then 2 snails died, I switched to aquasafe and then they were all happy. Prime does not say that is neutralizes heavy metals. Some may disagree with me, but that was my experience.

Hmmm, Prime dechlorinates and removes ammonia, but I don't think it neutralizes heavy metals.
