Is it normal for a snail to hang out with it's breathing tube extended? or does it mean something's wrong? I've never seen them do it, butthis morning 2 of them are.

perfectly normal for them to have the syphon out. They sit at the waterline and take n air with the syphon.
Sometimes they just do that. Just to check though, are they staying at the top, at the water line?
nope. they hang out at the bottom, mostly. they crawl around the sides of the tank too. I sometimes see them in small clusters at the waterline, but not often.
the ones that had the breathing tubes extended were on the bottom, and on the side of the tank.
Guess you can tell I'm a TOTAL snail-keeping newbie. lol I'm so worried about doing something wrong!! Glad to hear it's normal!
