As some of you already know, my apartment burned to the ground back in september, and my family had been waiting on it to be rebuilt and move back in. We have been given several false alarms on the move in date. More recently, the date had been set for May 15. So Great I started packing, and the manager called this morning and said it's looking more like the end of May now:swear:. In addition, our rent will be raised from $1135 to $1400. So now I have wasted 7 months in a crap 1 bedroom (my husband and our 2 children), when I could have moved into a suitable place for less money. I just sent an e-mail to the property owner to find out why the rent was increased, we didn't break lease or start the **** fire. If he doesn't come down on the price, I'm probably going to have to commit myself to an institution cause I'm going completely out of my mind at this point

I am so sorry to hear this. Hopefully you and the landlord can come to some sort of agreement or you can get out of your lease at the very least. Best of luck!
