I have a good question here.


If I added some live sand and live rock to my tank, and didn't have a protien skimmer would it be alright?! Will it affect them any? I do have a hob filter I could run. If I took out the carbon in the filter would that be better? :confused:


Please let me know ASAP.

I remember reading that you should not run your skimmer and filter during cycling of the tank. So, if you are cycling you should be ok without them.
