Let your imagination run wild. What would you stock in a 55 gallon? All inhabitants will need to spend there life in there so be kind.

1 dwarf angel (coral beauty, flame, red stripe..)
1 large clown (maroon, clarkii, etc..)
1 yellow tang (ya just gotta..)
4-5 green chromis (good dithers, and lovely looking too..)

No yellow tang...they turn into dinner plates.

Are there any puffers or tobys that would work in a 55 gallon community?

30 tetras, 5 angels and tigerbarbs

the valentini(sp) could work in there.
I would do a bi-color angel
a blenny of some sort.
a flame hawk
and some kind of wrasse.
and if using my imagination i would put a baby blue whale, a whale shark a great white, and a bottle nose dolfin to see if flipper could really do that.

opinions vary.. most I've seen in all my years of keeping have been no bigger than an adult hand.
