so i was watching my community tank yesterday and noticed that my pair of a.cacatu were acting a bit odd so i was keeping an eye on them when low and behold i notice a pile of eggs stuck in a little divit on a piece of driftwood. the mom lays on them and skoots them around with her mouth while the male keeps the cories away.
now how do i know if the have been fertalized? they look hot pink.

It really depends on which food they are eating. The more meaty the food, the more red the eggs will be. Live BBS and frozen BS are the best foods for breeding Apistogramma. The eggs will turn white if they are not fertilized.
