Im clearing my tank out of all my rainbowfish and my zebra danios and my fish that wont go well with discus. I was wondering if there are any oddballs that would work with discus..I am also keeping my hoplosternum thoracatum in there. Will there be any problems? The temp will be at 28 degrees celsius. The dimensons of the tank are 120 (L) cm x 50 (H) cm x 40 (W) cm. I was thinking maybe channa guacha..Would they be to agressive?
Eoibio, I gave you the article by Plausible of MFK about the Channa gachua. It can work as long as it doesn't bother your discus but I must warn you most snakeheads are pigs. Some species eat nonstop so this is something to consider. What have you decided so far? Channa bleheri is not an option. It is a subtropical species.

First I would go another degree higher temperature wise.
Fish, I have kept with discus are zebra pleco and sterbai cory. Many of the smaller plecos can take discus temps, especially the hypancistrus.

Been pretty lucky with mine at 84 F the Farlowellas seem to like it warm; no more my discus don't care for it any warmer unless they are sick.
