I have about 9 baby trapdoor snails (the ones that are tan and dark brown striped) and haven't a clue what to feed them. They are very shy just like the adults (whom I can't seem to get to feed either) and I'm afraid they'll just starve to death. I had a handful of babies a couple of months ago that wouldn't eat and they all parished after some time. They are in my cherry shrimp tank where pieces of squash zucchini and veggie pellets are dropped for the inhabitants to eat, and everyone eats except the trapdoors. Should I move them to their own tank, offer them different veggies, will they eat bloodworms if offered? Please help, I don't want to lose any more babies!

hmm, they are notoriously not easy to feed in a tank. I would try some blanched leafy veggies, or try culturing some soft algaes, or try painting rocks with egg white and then sprinkling powdered spirulina and allowing it to dry. Best of luck!

I've only had success with algae and spirulina pellets.

Definitely a tough case though, mine often kicked the bucket simply because everybody else outcompeted them for food.
