Is there a reason for shrimp to want to get blasted by my filter? I have a like 5-10 out of 30+ shrimps that like to stand and cling to their dear lives down stream of my fluval filter... there are some that will even go as far as trying to climb into the nozzle of the filter...

rest of the shrimps are fine being else where and forge with little problem, there also doesnt' seem to be any particular individual that will hang around the filter... almost kind of like they enjoy getting jet blasted around the tank and take turns doing so

what sort of shrimp? Your CRS? Mine do it too, they also graze on the sponge filter. I think they are picking out delicacies to eat, lol

Occasionally my dwarf neocardina will swirl around in the bubbles that come out of the top of the sponge filter. Sometimes they swim right into the current it creates as well. As long as they are eating and healthy I wouldn't worry about it.

i have both CRS and RSC, both will do it. Yeah they are eating just fine, and exhibit all the other normal healthy shrimp habit.

It was entertaining watching them careening, tumbling, and bouncing around the tank, just after a while the notion settle into my head that all that bumping around might not be healthy....

Another funny thing they would do is foraging under the duckweeds, and once in a while the duckweed will sink and fall to the bottom with the shrimp still on it... i will take a picture if i can.
